Simon HollandSimon is Chichester's Labour candidate for the next general election, he joined the party in 1996 and has served as Secretary of the Bognor branch of the party since 1999. In 2000 Simon was elected onto Bognor Regis Town Council as the Councillor for Pevensey Ward which he represented for 3 years, Simon also served for 4 years as a West Sussex County Councillor for Bersted Division, Bognor Regis.
Having worked in the printing industry for 18 years Simon has qualifications in graphic design and printmaking as well as the history of art and politics; he is currently a foreman in a print shop and a member of the GPMU sector of Unite Union (formally known as Amicus). Simon is heavily involved with the local community and has served on Bognor Regis Regeneration Committee, the WSCC Social & Caring Services Committee and is a former Chair of Bognor Regis Nursery School Steering Group. His experience on town and county councils means that Simon is acutely aware of the issues facing the people of Chichester and West Sussex today. Simon lives with his partner and their 3 daughters.
