Yes I live here in Chichester and an investigation or something similar is going to happen shortly as I have a list about 1.5 metres long of names/signatures (font size 12-13 for your academic writing and expected sarcasm from you Mark) which is being emailed to the parliamentary committee (local sector in London). I have met him on a few occasions two recordings of which I don’t think lack a derogatory term or swear word (included in the email of course) and you can hear them on you tube too. www.youtube.com and type Markfarwell being an MP?? The question marks are important

That’s strange reading the last post as I heard from my daughter who is at Southampton Solent University that he was rude to a girl obviously in need of comfort during a lecture “pointing his finger then turning his back” and returned to a group of doting students leaving her crying to discuss a time when he challenged a “boy racer” car with Christmas lights in it. This man is 1. an MP and 2. Allowed to teach—- horrendous ?

I think Dr (by study) Mark Farwell is an obnoxious, uncaring, unprofessional, loves the sound of his own voice, unempathetic, ignorant man. I asked him for some help recently and I was in tears, he basically turned his back on me whilst I was trying to talk as if to say “this is my time on stage and you are not going to spoil it” nasty man

A comment re your leaflet – all excellent and we are voting Labour switching from Lib Dems and Greens because Corbyn has run such a great campaign and needs support from people who like what he is saying BUT you don’t even mention his name on your leaflet. Don’t disassociate yourself from him. He is the reason people are switching to Labour even oldies like us!!!! He is starting to make sense to a lot of people especially in comparison to May!

I was invited to leave my reaction on a previous page but could not do so without logging in. Having prepared a few comments I thought I should at least forward them to you through this message board:

“No doubts from reading Mark’s impressive profile that he is committed to social justice and for the good of our local society. I wonder however whether Mark’s lack of apparent experience in the commercial world will be a disadvantage when faced with tough decisions. "

I want a really good leader, someone who I can happily vote for in the ballot box and Jeremy Corbyn is not that leader. In this area, my vote may not count for much – but I want it heard. I was an activist in the era that Jeremy belongs to, the 1970s, 1980s, but we are now in a new era and we need someone who can do more than create a social movement – valuable though that is. We need someone who has leadership qualities and if he cannot get his MPs behind him and has rebelled as often as he has, he needs to step down.

To inform you of the death of long time member, Tony Burt. Tony was a member of the Worthing West CLP, but I know he also had involement with Labour meeting hall in Chichester and his family have asked me to pass this on. His daughter mentioned a Margeret Dyer (or Dwyer) among his labour contacts and as I cannot trace this name in our party wonder if she is one of your members.

Tony’s funeral will be at the Worthing Crematorium,Findon, on Friday 8th April at 10 20. I hope you pick this up,I will also try to make telephone contact.

Fraternaly,

Tony Dines (Worthing West Labour Party)

Dear Dr Farwell,

I am not sure how best to contact you and I fear this may already be too late. I don’t normally pay any attention to politics. But, I am very worried about the Labour Party free vote about war on ISIS tomorrow. I just listened to Jeremy Corbyn on Radio 2. He is the first politician that I have heard that I have ever felt I can relate to. He doesn’t avoid answering questions. He appears to be honest. He is giving his party a free vote, because that is what he believes is right. I therefore had to write to you to say, that as one of your constituency, I do not think the answer is bombing Syria. I don’t know what the answer is, but I am sure that it is not air strikes. I believe that can only play into the hands of ISIS and cause more people to become radicalised.

I hope that many more people have contacted you to share their views and that you will listen to them all before making your decision.

Thank you for taking the time to read my email.

Best Wishes,

Rebecca Absalom

Dear Friend

There is a general feeling within the progressive side of politics that those opposed to the Tory agenda at both local and national level should meet together to discuss issues such as housing, energy bills, racism and numerous other pressing issues. In Chichester, the need for such a meeting would seem of paramount importance given the total dominance of the Tory party at all levels of governance other than, perhaps, parish councils.

I am writing to you in the hope that your organisation (and I am making this same invitation to all political parties and local activist groups that question in some way the Tory agenda) would support and be present at such a meeting. A date has not (as yet) been set but I intend that the venue would be in central Chichester. It is intended that all participatory organisations will be first given an opportunity to set down their vision for Chichester (City, District and Constituency) prior to a more general discussion. From this, I trust, something concrete will emerge.

I look forward to your response.

Philip MacDougall
