THE GREAT DEBATE on THE CORBYN EFFECT: MONDAY, 5th OCTOBER 2015
If you want to explore these questions further, and add more of your own, then come to THE GREAT DEBATE on THE CORBYN EFFECT at the Friends’ Meeting House, Chichester 8pm on Monday, 5th October where Mark Farwell, Labour Party parliamentary candidate and Jasper Richmond, Green Party parliamentary candidate will debate the Corbyn Effect.
Mark Farwell has said: “Corbyn brings to the Labour Party a welcome return to true socialist values. I am very excited about his election as our new leader.” Whereas Jasper Richmond commented: “ Whilst I welcome Corbyn’s injection into politics of serious principles, there are some areas of his policy that are still not radical enough for me." There are bound to be differences of opinion which should contribute to a lively debate.
JEREMY CORBYN was elected leader of the Labour Party on the 12th September 2015; and won a first-round victory with nearly 59.5% of first-preference votes. Andy Burnham (19%), Yvette Cooper (17%) and Liz Kendall (4.5%). Best Wishes and many congratulations from the CHICHESTER CONSTITUENCY LABOUR PARTY.
